Presentation; Roadmap to a Better Future - Shared screen with speaker view
Who can see your viewing activity?
Joe: I am here but I can’t get my photo to show. I have shared last week’s video and your’s to others. Alan
I’m interested in discussing SLAPP suits (strategic litigation against public participation) and the effect of RLUIPA (Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act) in which federal complaints often cite comments by the public that are asserted to show religious bias
Platforms that publish defamation on the internet are protected, but are the speakers also protected?
Please spell the name of the author of “the Coup we are not talking about”?
It’s Shoshana Zuboff
Self regulation also is an apt way to describe what happened with the Dr. Seuss books
Hi Joe. This is very illuminating— thank you! I’m wondering if you’d be willing to tell us whether you think we should expand our definition of speech that is prohibited to include content that is demonstrably false? I ask this with mixed feelings, myself. I certainly don’t like the idea of censorship — then again, spreading the lie, for example, of election fraud is damaging. What do you think we should do about that? Thank you.
thank you — that’s helpful.
Please send links to the recordings of both 'episodes'
Will you two have continuing Zoom sessions on these issues?
We defer to Heather on whether we might continue these discussions in future presentations.
Thank you so much, Joe
